Our school is located in Recanati in the Marche region of central Italy – rich in beautiful sceneries, interesting cultural events, gastronomic, folkloristic festivals and magnificent works of art. The Marche region is the native land of famous figures such as Giacomo Leopardi, Raffaello, Rossini, Bramante so it is an ideal place for both an unforgettable and convenient holiday and an intensive study of Italian language and culture.
Recanati is an ancient town with architectural and cultural treasures. It is welcoming and quiet, as it is located in a green hilly area surrounded by fortresses, castles and medieval villages that are rich in history and culture – just 12 km away from the Adriatic Sea and 85 km from the National Park of Sibylline Mountains. The contemporary town, despite a legend that dates the city back to a Roman colony (“Recina sum, peperit romana colonia” was written in ‘500 under the coat of arms of the city), was founded in the late twelfth century when the lords of three hills decided to join forces. The three hills (Monte Volpino, Monte San Vito and Monte Morello) retain their ancient names and construction features.
Recanati’s central location allows you to reach quickly famous nearby places such as Urbino, San Marino, Rimini, Perugia, Gubbio, Assisi, or others, relatively more distant, like Florence, Rome, Bologna, Venice, Naples and Capri.
