Accademia Italiana is an Italian Language and Culture Centre specialized in teaching Italian L2/FL. The school is situated in Salerno, in the South of Italy. Accademia Italiana is authorized by the Italian Ministry of Education (p.a. 368/11) and by the Universities for Foreigners of Siena and Perugia for the official certifications of the Italian language. Furthermore it is a member of IALC (Quality Language Centres Worldwide) and of ASILS. The school is situated near the beautiful Amalfi Coast and it is close to many touristic and famous places such as Pompeii, Paestum, Positano, Ravello, Capri and Ischia. Accademia Italiana offers a wide variety of Italian language and culture courses, special programs, courses for teachers, Italian for business, etc. Courses are held all year round at 6 levels of Knowledge. The didactic method is based on the most modern techniques of teaching Italian as a second language and it develops in each student all the linguistic skills.
Standard Group Courses
Duration: from 1 to 48 weeks
Lessons per week: 20 lessons (45 min. each) / 1 week
Description: Italian General Courses e run all year round with a programme divided into 6 levels, according to the Common European Framework, from absolute beginners to advanced level (A1-C2). The classes are made up of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 students. Participants are divided into language classes according to their initial level of Italian and to their nationalities. All classes have a good nationality mix so that students are encouraged to use Italian as their official language.
Duration: from 1 to 48 weeks
Lessons per week: 10 lessons/ 1 week (45 min. each); 15 lessons/ 1 week (45 min. each); 20 lessons/ 1 week (45 min. each); 30 lessons/ 1 week (45 min. each)
Description: these courses are suitable for those who wish to reach great results in a short time by means of a personalized program both in terms of time and method. Courses are offered all year round, they start every Monday with a minimum attendance of 1 week. The program is planned around the requirements of each student.

Description: the school offers a wide range of Italian Culture and Art Courses: History of Italian Art, History of Italian Cinema, Italian cooking, Italian Pottery and Ceramics, Singing, Musical Instruments. These courses are combined with General Language Courses and are offered throughout the year. They generally take place for an extendable duration of 1 week, for 2 weekly lessons in the afternoon with a minimum number of participants. Individual lessons are available as well.

The school offers different solutions for the accommodation in Salerno: in Italian host-families, in shared apartment, in hotels and in executive apartment in single and double rooms with private bathroom at exclusive use . Accommodation is in the city centre within walking distance from the school.
The school offers an interesting leisure program. One of the aims of the school is to give a point of reference for students. Accademia Italiana regularly organizes excursions to Capri, Pompeii, Paestum, Amalfi, Ravello, Vietri, Sorrento, Positano, Naples and Caserta. All the excursion are with a teacher or with expert guides. The Accademia Italiana organizes special guided visits to local lemoncello, mozzarella di bufala, olive oil factories. Visits are followed by final tasting of typical products. Once a week the school organizes special dinners in nice restaurants where the students with their teachers and Italian friends can taste typical dishes while practicing Italian.
