ASILS New School Membership Applications

ASILS is an association that brings together the best Italian language schools operating throughout Italy.
Our primary goal is to ensure the professionalism and expertise of our member institutions in teaching the Italian language, as well as the highest quality of services offered to students.
Schools wishing to apply for membership must first meet a number of fundamental requirements:

• They must have a permanent location and primarily provide Italian language teaching.
• They must offer a truthful and detailed description of their courses and services across their communication channels.
• They must employ teachers with appropriate academic qualifications and proven experience in this specific field.

Schools that meet these requirements will then be required to comply with the UNI 11863:2022 Standard – Italian language and culture schools for foreigners – Service requirements, which will formally confirm their eligibility for membership.

We understand that compliance with the UNI 11863:2022 Standard may initially seem like a demanding step. However, these are reasonable requirements that any school operating with professionalism and competence should already meet.
For schools that may encounter difficulties, ASILS will provide an appropriate period of time to implement the necessary adjustments and fully comply with the Standard.
Membership in ASILS involves a one-time joining fee as well as an annual membership fee, which in recent years has been €1,100.00.
