Il Centro was founded in 1986 in Milan with one clear vision: to teach Italian through an innovative methodology supported by qualified, motivated, and passionate teachers.

The humanistic-affective method we follow focuses on the individual needs of each student. Modern teaching techniques, personalized attention, and a warm, family-like atmosphere make Il Centro a true boutique school for learning Italian in Milan.

Where we are

We are located in the heart of Milan, in the picturesque Brera district.
Our school overlooks Piazza del Carmine, one of the city’s most charming squares — a place where narrow streets intertwine, preserving the atmosphere of another era. During Design Week, Brera becomes a lively neighborhood visited by thousands of visitors and world-famous designers.

Il Centro is just a short walk from the Cathedral (Duomo), Sforza Castle, the beautiful Sempione Park, and the city’s renowned Fashion District — the perfect setting to study Italian while experiencing Milan’s vibrant art, style, and culture.

Our Italian language school

Il Centro is approved by the Italian Ministry of Education, and other Italian and international organizations (CSN, Bildungsurlaub etc.).

We are EN-ISO9001:2015 certified and an official center for PLIDA language examinations.

We organize intensive and semi-intensive courses for groups and individuals both on-site and on-line.

Our Courses
At Il Centro, we offer a wide range of Italian language courses designed to meet different learning goals and schedules:

• Evening courses – perfect for those who study or work during the day.
• Individual lessons – flexible, tailor-made sessions focusing on personal needs
  and objectives.
• Online courses – the same quality and interactivity of in-person classes, accessible from anywhere in the world.
• Exam preparation courses – for official Italian language certifications such as CILS, CELI, and PLIDA.

All our courses are taught entirely in Italian from the very first day, encouraging students to communicate naturally and confidently in real-life situations.
