The School

Founded in Rome in 1984, Italiaidea is one of the most famous Italian language schools in Italy and is officially recognized by the Ministry of Education. The atmosphere that awaits you at Italiaidea is unique: as well as courses in Italian and Italian culture, designed to meet the student, the school always offers a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, ideal to study and to learn Italian the fun way.

Italian courses

Standard Group Courses

Duration: 1/2/3/4 weeks; semestral and annual courses

Lessons per week: 15 (of 60 minutes)

Prices: 155 euro a week —> from 1 to 3 weeks; 150 euro a week —> from 4 to 6 weeks; 140 euro a week —> from 7 to 9 weeks; 135 euro a week —> from 10 to 12 weeks; 125 euro a week —> from 13 to 20 weeks

Description: the Intensive Group Class (15 lessons a week, 60 minutes a lesson) is held from Monday to Friday in a class of minimum 4, maximum 10 students, mornings or afternoons. The program and the teaching material (included in the course price) are tailor made for each class. The course can last one, two or as many weeks as you need throughout the year, except for the Christmas period. Beginners need to check the course start dates given in the annual insert which contains information on prices and dates.


Individual Courses

Duration: 1/2/3/4 weeks; semestral and annual courses

Lessons per week: 60 minutes

Prices: One-to-One Lessons “standard”: 1 hour = 45 EuroOne-to-One Lessons “Flex”:  1 hour = 55 Euro. We offer special 25 hours discounted packages for both the typologies of One-to-One lessons:
25 hours “Standard”: 1000 Euro (40 Euro/hour instead of 45 Euro)
25 hours “Flex”: 1200 Euro (48 Euro/hour instead of 55 Euro)

Description: individual courses at Italiaidea offer flexibility and a perfect fit to the language needs and time constraints of each student. Lessons last 60 minutes and can be in either of our two centers at Corso Vittorio Emanuele II or in Piazza della Cancelleria, or at the location you desire. We also offer the “Flex” option, that offers maximum flexibility, allowing the student to modify the originally agreed timetable at will by advising our admin office with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.


Culture Courses

Duration: 1/2/3/4 weeks

Lessons per week: 60 minutes

Prices: Art History Lesson in Italian: 40 euro; Art History Lesson in English (upon request): 50 euro
Tickets are not included in the price.

Description: Individual and made to measure Art  History classes for people who want to discover Rome in a personal and immediate way. We offer packages about Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque art in Rome: you can choose to focus on a specific topic or take a general, wider course. Indoor lessons will be combined with independent tours: the teacher will give you all insights to visit the sites on your own and enjoy them.

Every month our Italian language school organizes a different program of activities which add to the hours of in-class lessons.You can participate in guided museum tours in Rome, walks through the Roman streets, nights at the theatre, conferences at the school on topics of general and more.
